LP Pulleys
LP-Pulleys utilize a high-strength moulded nylon containing finely divided particles of molydenum disulfide as solid lubricant :
- Light weight
- Corrosion resistant
- Self Lubricating
- High breaking load
- Quiet and smooth operation
- Low thermal expansion coefficient
- Little Absorption of water
- High impact resistance
- Low coefficient of friction
- Low vibration
The improved tensile strength of the lzbricated polyamide allows higher loads than thermoplastic. If the material is temporarily subjected to heavier loads, it regains its original shape.
In comparison to other pulleys, the LP-Pulley has a working life up to 4,5 times longer.
1) LPB Pulleys without bearing :
On lightly loaded applications where the working load is less than 10% of the maximum load capacity it is possible to use LP Pulleys without bearing .
A wear examination of the LP pulley showed that pressure and rotating speed influence the life of the pulley
Best results can be achieved with shafts of hardened steel with a surface grade of 0,4 – 0,8 Ra (µm)

2) LPG- Pulleys with plain Bearing :
Codica LP-Pulleys have a plain bearing of sintered bronze which is oil impregnated.
The oil impregnation lasts for the whole life of the pulley .
Coefficient of friction with oil lubrification : 0,05-0,10
Coefficient of friction with dry lubrification : 0,15-0,25
Maximum speed : 5 m/s
Maximum temperature : 90°C

3) LPN-Pulleys with needle roller bearing :
LP-Pulleys are also available with needle roller bearings. This gives them
a longer working life especially at higher speeds and are wear ressistance when the recommend load is not exceeded.
